We support and celebrate Black pregnancies across the UK
What we do
Black Mothers Matter deliver a range of resources and services that provide accurate, relevant, safer information and support to our community of Black & Mixed Black women and birthers.
We also work with professionals in the NHS and other organisations - so that they are more knowledgeable and better equipped to support all types of Black people giving birth.
Why we do it
We have a vision that one day Black mothers will no longer be in disproportionate danger* during pregnancy and the first year after birth.
Race or ethnicity should not be standalone risk factors during the perinatal period.
Until then there is work to be done.
