Black Maternity Matters
As Black women we are limited in how much we can do as individuals to keep ourselves safe during the perinatal period. Black Maternity Matters acknowledges this and pushes the responsibility back on to care givers.
Black Maternity Matters is an innovative collaboration between Black Mothers Matter, West of England Academic Health Science Network, BCohCo, Representation Matters and the NHS trusts in Bristol.
Black Maternity Matters is a deep, long and challenging anti-racist programme combined with quality improvement project implementation for NHS perinatal teams. The work contributes to both individual and systemic change.
